Everything Matters, Nothing Matters

With Everything Matters, Nothing Matters, multi-instrumentalists, songwriters and producers David Stöbener and Marco Braun present the second album by So Soon — a record of immense emotional scope and magnetic force. Indie pop and folk merge seamlessly with electronica and dream rock, forming a deeply moving and immersive body of work.

Autobiographical snapshots, awakening in a world that offers much yet demands even more, hazy hope and floating melancholy: at its core, So Soon is about pivotal moments — turning points, life-defining decisions, emotional knots that prove difficult to untangle. The important phone call postponed for too long in Would You Call Me. The longing for surrender in The Pace. The anxious inner monologue of It’s Just Fear. Out of this reflection emerges music with substance: a companion, a refuge, a channel for these profoundly human states of being.

Everything Matters, Nothing Matters is unmistakably So Soon — yet more mature, more precise, more daring and more self-assured. David Stöbener and Marco Braun achieve something rare in contemporary music: humanity resonates through every layer of these songs. The combination of emotional depth and the ability to transform it into breathtaking, deeply affecting music, together with a clear vision of the album as a complete artistic statement, makes Everything Matters, Nothing Matters an experience — and an exceptional one at that.

The album was mixed by Barny Barnicott, one of the UK’s leading mixers and producers, whose work spans artists from Kasabian to Sam Fender. Highlights from Barnicott’s extensive catalogue include the debut album by Arctic Monkeys and Confessions by The Temper Trap. Mastering was handled by Matt Colton, whose acclaimed work has shaped releases by Muse, James Blake, Thom Yorke, Aphex Twin and Depeche Mode.

Everything Matters, Nothing Matters will be released on October 16, 2026 via Clouds Hill on vinyl, CD and digitally across all streaming and download platforms. The release will be accompanied by an extensive tour.
