Odd Couple

There's not much going on in East Frisia. If you want something to happen there, you have to do it yourself. Berliners-by-choice Jascha Kreft and Tammo Dehn know this too. Together as the Odd Couple, they combine a whole range of quintessentially North German characteristics: Composure with regard to external expectations, a basic trust in their own tempo and a performance that can be relied upon. Above all, however, a healthy skepticism towards any unnecessary drivel and the knowledge that you shouldn't take yourself too seriously. Odd Couple have released four albums (“It's a pressure to meet you”, “Flügge”, “Yada Yada” and “Universum Duo”) and have played countless concerts and festivals at home and abroad. They mix Kraut with Dada, punchy soundboards with sparkling glam contrast with overflowing, exploding guitar riffs. It is precisely these pairings of strange opposites: Dyke and metropolis, reserved-cool attitude and ironic-insane lyric work that you don't often get to hear in such forceful directness.
