“Ich glaub ich bin das Puzzleteil, das am Ende einfach irgendwie nicht passt” – “puzzleteil” tells the story of a relationship in which you twist and turn, bend and break – and still never quite fit. It’s about feeling too quiet for someone who is too loud. And about the question of whether you have to lose yourself to become the right person for someone else.
Musically, following the euphoric “unperfekt”, “puzzleteil” deliberately slows things down without losing its intensity: 146 BPM with a halftime feel, alternative indie pop that pushes forward while simultaneously pulling you in. Electric guitar, live drums and an intimate, up-close vocal – stripped back, honest and leaving plenty of room for the lyrics. Here, too, BRUNKE stays true to his approach: real instruments instead of AI-polished perfection, with the little imperfections left intact.
Both thematically and sonically, BRUNKE positions himself alongside acts such as Ennio, Kraftklub, Nina Chuba, Dani Lia, Carli, Luna and Bruckner.
The release is accompanied by an organic TikTok and Instagram campaign built around the line “Ich glaub ich bin das Puzzleteil, das am Ende einfach irgendwie nicht passt” – featuring honest POVs about relationships, friendships and places where you no longer (or never really) fit in. Pre-orders for the album have been open since October 18, 2026. Starting in February 2027, the five-city BRUNKE TOUR 2027 will bring the sound of “Ebbe” to the stage.
As always, “puzzleteil” was largely written and produced independently – revealing BRUNKE’s quieter, more vulnerable side following the energetic “unperfekt”.
