Peter Doherty
Peter Doherty is best known for being co-frontman of The Libertines. The group achieved global critical and commercial success and gained a dedicated cult following, with Doherty, being praised by fans and critics alike as one of the most promising songwriters to emerge on the British music scene. Doherty had always wanted to record in Hamburg, particularly as it’s where the Beatles learned their trade, was referred to Clouds Hill and turned up on the doorstep unannounced the next day. He fell in love with the studio and based himself there for the next six months. The resulting album, ‘Hamburg Demonstrations’, was produced, recorded & mixed by Johann Scheerer at Clouds Hill in Hamburg using an 8 Track 2“ Studer A820 tape machine and mixed onto a 1/4“ Telefunken master machine.
